In this series of tutorials, I am assuming that you have a basic working knowledge of WordPress as a content management system and understand how to upload media, create pages and posts, and do other basic things that are performed from the WordPress Dashboard.
If you have not installed Suffusion, here is how it is done. From the WordPress Dashboard, use the left navigation. Hover over “appearance.” This should bring up the appearance menu. Now click “themes.”
Now click the tab at the top titled “Install Themes.” From here, you are going to search the term “suffusion.” Once you see the Suffusion theme listing, click “install now.” Now click “activate” to activate this theme for your website.
After you active the theme, you should be taken directly to the Suffusion dashboard. You can access the Suffusion dashboard at any time by hovering over “appearance” and then clicking on the “suffusion options” link.
From the Suffusion dashboard, you can navigate to any section of the Suffusion theme settings. The suffusion dashboard settings are broken down in to 8 sections. Skinning, Layouts, Typography, Sidebars, Other Graphical Elements, Back-end, Templates, and Custom Types.
